Viewing Tuesday April 4, 2012 from 1PM until 8PM at the Stinson Northwest Chapel located 16540 Meyers Rd. at the John Lodge Fwy. Funeral Services will be on Wednesday at 9:30AM in the Chapel of the Funeral Home. Interment: Great Lakes National Cemetery.

Delano Robinson, Jr. was born to the union of Yvonne Eve Robinson and the late Delano Sr., on September 30, 1952, in River Rouge, Michigan.

He attended Central High School where he sang in the choir, after which he enlisted into the United States Military (Air Force) where he served his country until his honorable discharge in 1973.

He attended Wayne State University where he received his Batchelors Degree. after attending Wayne State, he completed dentistry School and completed his 3rd degree as a Black Belt in The martial Arts. His passion was singing and writing songs for various Motown Artists. He loved to be called Smuckie.

Delano Robinson, Jr. departed this life on Sunday, March 25, 2012, at 4:15 a.m., while in Veterans Hospital of Detroit, Michigan.

He is survived by his mother; Yvonne Eve Robinson; sister; Wanda Delicia Porter; niece Lakiska Nesbitt (Byran); nephew Joshuan T. Porter; a great niece Anaiah Nesbitt; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Immediate family members preceded in death include, father Delano Robinson, Sr.; brother Brodrick Robinson; grandparents Gilbert and Cora Lee Smith.
